do i need to block this water pipe outlet off ? whay can i use to block it with?

my late M30 has a plate over that water outlet. looks the same shape to me.
not sure if blocking it will affect the flow of coolant though, where did the pipework from that water elbow feed to originally?

not got a clue gareth was told that if i leave it attached the elbow on there will hit the bulkhead

looks the same i wouldn't think ther would be too much difference rally i'm gonna check the tk and see if the blanking piece is still available
