Hi all, i am removing the cat exhaust from my 1990 325 tourer and replacing it with a standard non-cat exhaust.I was going to weld a boss to one of the down pipes to re-fit the oxygen sensor but i have been told that there is no need because i can simply disconnect the sensor from the loom with no ill effect. My thoughts are that it would be better to constantly monitor and adjust the exhaust gasses to give better and more fuel efficient running.Any thoughts appreciated, also anyone got any experiance with full stainless manifolds and systems,do they give noticable realworld gains (not just top end)in performance and how do they effect mpg.
Many thanks and happy motoring - Rob
