i suspect your girly springs were sagging with the weight of your tool kit :D aaaanyway, someone advised me i should increase the ride height  :D that said, i didn't have ground contact between any part of the car other than the tyres - and the oncoming blizzard of stones! :D oh, and the contact between my head and the roof on several occasions
at least I warned you.. imagine an m30 sump with the 50mm drop you had :o

stones are a test that only the best pass :D

agreed, it was still at the back of my mine the whole way and a good call! not sure the narrower bumpier roads would have been that much fun if i was near the bump stops 8O
i think the gravel rash my car has adds a certain patina to it, less so to the screen but hey, compared to the fuel bills, a new screen is small change :)
i think the total score was at least three new screens needed between us :? ho hum, worth every penny! :D

yes and no. The ring is more predictable (less sheep for a start) and it's nice to get a rest every 10 mins or so! i reckon a day of solid driving round the ring (200 miles worth) would nearly kill me!
Knowing where the roads in scotland go would be useful too but that's part of then fun!

it's just that you're too nice a bloke to include in the inevitable LPG fireball so i did you the courtesy of keeping my distance.

Anyway, i needed to keep my car away from yours, i reckon it likes a bit of rough and may have raped yours if i got any closer! 8O :P

mine wasn't 'purring' while following the kiev express, i had to 'thrash' it over 4000 rpm a few times to keep up! 8O

It has to be said though neil, are you sure it's not had a B25 dropped in before you bought it? winkeye

On the Roam, I discovered mine actually goes surprisingly well when it gets over 4000rpm! I must have been driving it wrong for the last 3 years - must try harder, lol!

Nowt wrong with an M40. My Mother in Law has a blue neon design cab that would out handle my touring big style. The little thing nips along just fine. :D
