Things to do, Fix the above(new wing is sat in the back, should be doing in the bodyshop around the end of the month), started preping the engine ready for painting, spare grille sourced ready to paint black, new front and side indicators(not sure which colour yet), new wheels, depending on funds after that a chip, zone trottle body and maybe angel eyes.

My 2nd Mk1 Golf Driver, unfornuately got no pics of my 1st and favourite one at the moment:

Still drives fine, happened ages ago, just aint been in a rush to get it done over the winter.

The Rover had to be lifted onto a low loader, only hit the rear nearside corner at about 25ish and got right through to the rear wheel. It was a mess.

Kam-Sold the Golf now was costing silly money keeping it going and although the pics don't show it the body work was in a word crap, had loads of welding done for its MOT, inc. holes in the sills. Took it off the road and had a crack at sorting the rust out before i sold it and it turned out quite well i reckon. The engine was about dead, needed a new clutch, boot didn't lock, and if you tried doing any work on it you needed a whole can of WD40(typical Mk1), to list just a few of the faults. Going to be looking for another though when the iS is sorted and modded to a level i'm happy with.

Ian- I got to say i did quite enjoy seeing the Rover getting lifted onto the low loader, and then being able to drive away in mine with no trouble, don't think it went down well when i got out my car and was checkingout the damage totally ignoring anything anyone was saying, think the first thing i said to them was something on the lines of "i couldn't give a f*ck about your car, look at mine  ) .

It goes into the bodyshop next week so shouldn't belong till it's looking sweet again and then i'll be straight on the phone to Borbet to order my new wheels :bling: :bling:
