Won this on Ebay last night Ԛ£180!Item no 4564865820 have a read.
Went to pay and see it today for the first time and im well chuffed!
Noticed the wheels looked like Hartges in the picture, and it had Mtec 1 kit so had a bid.Got there today and saw that the wheels are !6" Hartges in top condition apart from some very minor scuffing on the 2 front ones, also the kit is in top condition,no cracks etc and looks factory fitted.
I intended to break it,but after seeing it,NO CHANCE,the body and paintwork are amazing,i cant find any rust at all, only a few really light scratches.Should polish up a treat.
Know the best bit, turns out it got MOT untill April 06 and not JULY 05 as advertised, also has 2 months Tax!
Im now going to keep it and buy an Engine to stick in for know, with the intention of putting something bigger in it later this year-3.5 maybe?
Interior is pretty crap, but have half leather in my red one!
Also sits like a tank even though they reckon it had uprated suspension, but if the worse comes to the worse, ill take the Bilstein set of the red one too!
What do you guys think?
Also im on the look out for an engine to chuck in it for now, preferably localish to me in South Devon and cheapish too?

I cant beleive my luck, still grining now,but cant pick up the car till Tuesday so it like waiting for christmas as a kid
Really dont know what im doing yet?
Originally my plan was to buy a standard (any model) 2 door in Black, put big engine in,very low and some decent rims, basically a bit of a sleeper to look at,but now ive got this ive started thinking a little more retro
If i decide to get rid of them this is where theyll be advertised first!
PS - What sort of money are these fetching?

Price?
Ԛ£80 but cost me another Ԛ£80 to get it picked up from Essex, about 260 miles away from me,still a bargain though!

And you were jammy with the is lip!
I'm not sure what Hartge's are worth, I should think they will cover the cost of the car!
I've got a very nice set of BBS or cash waiting if you decide to get rid of them
Off topic
johnono, There's a Sport in the for sale section with those seats, Maybe if someone buy's it they would sell them, The whole car is only Ԛ£300.

Johnono - if its just the bolsters you want in leather surely you can get an upholsterer to layer them for about Ԛ£80 all in!

Got back with it about 9.15pm.Missus not happy because ive been out all night (again).
Few downfalls with it but nothing major ie-has a sunroof but not factory fitted, although it looks professionally done its not correct.Has a finger nail size dent on n/s/r arch, hardly worth worrying about as it the only significant mark on the body that i can see.Alloys are a little more scuffed than i first thought, nothing serious but all 4 will need sorting, apart from these things all seems well so far,and im more than pleased.
Desperate for an engine to throw in it for a few months, anyone got one they dont want?Has to be an M10 just to get it on the road, thinking of a 3.5 conversion in the not to distant future.has to be reasonably local to Devon and i will buy a whole 318i as long as the engine is sound!
PM me with what youve got

BMW mini meet!
The little niggles don't sound bad at all, I was in tears the night my ebay bargain was delivered!
Scuffed wheels are no good though I should get rid of them

Mini meet almost!my neighbours love me,NOT
Not too bothered about the bits and peices really, just a bit gutted about the sunroof, although very well fitted, its not supposed to be there is it.
Desperate for an engine to put in it,as ive already sold my Red one to a mate and hes picking it up tommorow night ,effectively leaving me car less, well ive got loads but none are roadworthy for one reason or another

im buzzin
car will be on the road this week, been buying bits all week for it including a replacement engine, only done 88,000 miles and sounds superb, rear veiw mirror with map lights(this weeks bargain @ Ԛ£10),4 x new tyres 205/45/16s(could only afford khummo but better than the mis match set already fitted,a scorpion alarm and some standard back lights as the ones fitted are hideous and also a set of Boge -40mm lowering springs which it needs badly

I do miss the Moors as well
Some of my bestest driving roads are across Dartmoor. I think my favourite is from Princetown to Buckfasleigh, but there's also some blinders up around Widecombe. It's quite a good run across from Plympton to Yelverton (via Cadover) as well.
I'm actually down next weekend, so may have to go for a blat. Oh, hang on a mo. I'll probably be in the Nissan - bummer..
Ian.
