Want to fit a Tech II wheel to my Touring but don't know what size to go for, 385 or 370? Most on here seem to prefer the 370. Which is better and why?

The 370 is much better due to its size and was the only size actually made for the e30.

The 385 was made for the e34 5 series although it does fit an e30 and imo makes it feel like your driving a bus.

Try one and find out. It's a more 'natural' size in relation to the rest of the car.

I have a 370mm Tech II in my 325 but I'd prefer a ~350mm Momo item - especially for track use where a smaller wheel increases the feedback and feel for the car's steering.

Really depends on why you are buying the wheel. Personally I like the look of the Tech 1 wheel on my chromie but I don't indulge in racing, track or street. The smaller wheel would certainly be better for "spirited" driving

This guy I know back home cut the steering wheel in his cortina (OK is was back in the 80s) the same as Knight Riders one. As you might have guessed he was a total nutter!!!!
