e36 wipers

the wipers on our e36 are playing up, they can just stop working, they always rest at the bottom of the screen so im asuming its not the motor, any one know of any common wiper problems on e36 coupes

they don't happen to stop when you are stopped do they?

no jhonno, its an intermittent fault all the wiper speeds stop working whatever speed im doing, bit scary when its pishing down

Sounds like an electrical fault to me.
I had a wiper linkage arm sheer in half on my old e36 318is..it was on the drivers side during a heavy down pour on the M5..scarey stuff!
