I have been having some issues sorting the gear linkage on my m50 turd.
Fitted a 320 alloy upper bracket that holds the knuckle. This fits spot on and sits bang in the centre of the hole where the gearstick fits through. But the actual linkage that fits to the bottom of the gearstick and the selector on the box doesn't appear long enough and the gearstick is tilted way back, so I obviously need a longe one.
I have a much longer one I could perhaps modify, but before I start butchering stuff, is there one from another E30 model that will give me a plug & play solution?
Also, of more concern, it seems like the gearbox is stuck in gear and no amount of riving on the gearstick is moving it out of positon.
I have just bled the clutch system and it feels like I have a clutch pedal, but this mo fo don't want to move.
Any ideas?

I cut and welded mine. Use a screw driver to select the gears lee, it's quite difficult to select without the rod.
Bollocks to this 24v scrap!

No York today? - I was tempted to go down but the weather's not been ace and no-one else seemed bothered.
Anyone with a welder, ruler and hacksaw can do your linkage in 2 minutes dude... Shouldn't you be stuck with something complicated, at least?
