Welcome to the zone!
Cant say i driven one, but with the sport chassis, and the light, revvy 4 pot out of the m3 (making nearly as much power) i'd say it would prob be spot on for a bit of track day action! Even more so with a few choice mods.

Simple answer yes, as soon as you sort the suspension out :thumb:

Cheers,

What mods would need to be made to the suspension? how much is a 1988 with 120k miles worth?

Well they just come on "standard" suspension, so whatever kit you like really.

They've gotta be pretty dangerous on the standard suspension 8O

They're worth about Ԛ£4k and up I've heard for a decent one, I'm not going to pay less than Ԛ£4k when I get mine anyway

If it's a real IS, with the 2-litre S14 engine I'd say it's a waste to rag it on the track, as they are so rare. A regular M3 would probably be cheaper, has more power, better aerodynamics, better brakes, etc. etc.

The great fun of a 320iS is that's it's the uber-sleeper...

Very nice cars (someone let me have a drive of one please!), but significantly cheaper than an m3... Cheaper to run too - apart from the engine it's all stock sport stuff AFAIK :thumb:
E30 in need of wiring loom smoke since April '11...
