Hi all
I am after an OE fire extinguisher for my Sport.
I have seen this one on Ebay.

Can anybody tell me if it will fit?
Cheers

Looks the same as mine.... Maybe someone with ETK can see if the part numbers are the same for E34 and E30....

The problem with fire extinguishers is they need replacing after a while.
They do have a USE BY date (usually stamped on the side or bottom)
Oh.. and I duno if it fits.

Thanks for the posts so far.
Yes, they do have expiry dates but that does not stop people like me buying one to keep the car original. It is also the reason I have managed to sell an OE First Aid box with an expiry date of 1995 only last week.
I do have modern up-to-date extinguisher in the boot actually but am slowly trying to get the Sport looking as it came out of the factory.

Original ones are suppose to attach to the front of the drivers seat...

there is a bracket listed in the etk/epc but it is no longer available the plastic cradle the extinguisher comes with does not bolt onto the seat but to a metal bracket which in turn fits to the seat frame if you dont get the bracket (and its not in the ebay pic) you will have to source one to fit to the seat

Hmm. Strange, I got one from the stealers, together with a brand new bottle just a few months back. Had to be ordered ofcourse, but was still available. Might want to check first before ordering sth. off Ebay.gazza wrote:there is a bracket listed in the etk/epc but it is no longer available the plastic cradle the extinguisher comes with does not bolt onto the seat but to a metal bracket which in turn fits to the seat frame if you dont get the bracket (and its not in the ebay pic) you will have to source one to fit to the seat
FWIW, the E30 item looks similar, but is different.

2kg! Sod that. Working on my car being 1250kg, putting out 170 bhp(both optimistic I know) if I get rid of it I'll increase my power to weight ratio by 0.218 bhp/tonne!
