Fi, You have just given me a cracking idea for another venue! Colchester uniteds new ground has a massive car park and great access. Hmmmmmmm.

I also know a few guys that do a bit of DJing, I'm sure I could talk one or two into coming along and get the tunes going.

Only slight issue I can see here is making sure the event is covered by public liability insurance especially if we have a rolling road there. :?

Dave, I know one of the guys who plays in Bad Manners. It might take a large amount of negotiation, pleading etc, but surely a bunch of 80s cars should be serenaded by that kind of 80s band.... actually, I've worked with the lead singer from The Selector (who is a lovely lady) too, so maybe one of the above has a charitable vein in their bodies????????

Let me know if you want me to help - I'd be more than happy to.

I'll certainly drop you a line when I know more. :D

Trev/Fi,

I'd be more than happy with the 25th July (Saturday) so we can recover on the Sunday. Only mentioned the 27th as this is our anniversary and I couldn't be arsed to look at the calender for the nearest weekend. :D

I have a couple of ideas too. Dave I'll call you tonight babe.

Had a brief chat with Andrew last night and it looks to be ok. He needs to chat to Richard to make sure and I also need to contact TCS about getting the rolling road there.

With a bouncy castle that grownups are allowed on ideally

We are able to hire one, with a blower, for a little sum through work. I will have to look into costs etc dave but its another option. Think its like a flat rate for a weekend and not prohibitively expensive. My only problem is its its looking like its going to be ANY time in june then I doubt I can do it. My wedding will be fast approaching and the 27th july is two days after. Obviously if it is moved back to saturday 25th (wedding day) then again I wont be able to do it.

I wont commit myself to anything till we have a date, but if its looking like I can attend, then I will look into the bouncy castle as I am the one that will have to be responsible for it.

Well I need to see what the rolling road people can do date wise. I'll email him a link to this thread as it will be easier than trying to explain it all :D

Cheers Rob, I'll try to arrange it so you can attend, What time is your wedding? :chuckle:

Thanks dave. Don't annoy everyone else though, but august would be better for me.

As for what time is the wedding, when it was originally due to be on a saturday during the rugby season, I kept trying to persuade Mrs86 to let me go straight from the church to the rugby club, get a game in, then get off to the reception. She wasnt having none of it unfortunately...........

.......and she says she loves me :teehee:............. personally I think she just wants me for my e30.

I know Broadstairs intimately! Maybe leave the e30's there and get a lift back, some good pubs for the sampling unless your feeling continental then its got the be the belge (belgian Bar) in ramsgate, next to Petes fish factory. But I digress. Give me a shout though Neil and funds permitting......
