hi, there was a topic like this a few weeks back but no conclusion,
i have a annoying noise from the drivers side rear, a constant knocking when im driving along, and it picks up as i go faster, its nothing to do with supsension, at first i thought it was the brake/handbrake sticking but its not, then there were a few bolts loose (excuse me if i might be a little wrong) on the circular part where the drive shaft goes into the diff (6 8mm alen key bolts) a few of them were loose, tightened them up but noise is still there,
im wondering has anyone had a problem like this could it be the wheel bearing or driveshaft? and if so are they a problem to replace?
any advice appreciated, thanks

Hmm, if the driveshaft was loose at the diff end I'd be checking the hub nut out myself. Have you had it up in the air and investigated the state of all the bushes?

Try pushing the driveshafts in and out (diff to wheel) as this will move the cv grease around the joint. If this changes the sound then they might be worn.
If I can't fix it I'll f**k it up so bad nobody can!!

had it up on the ramps , the bushes look as in good nic as the other side (which isnt making a noise), il try moving the cv grease around like suggested, and also having a look at the hubnut, cheers
