Excellent
&Yup I booked through them too. BSJ isn't the best campsite, but it'll do the job (& Houx is sold out anyway!). Nice and near to Porsche, but I'm definitely taking a pushbike this year. Nowhere is near to everything - it's quite a long circuit after all!
Will be a bonus to be able to pick a site where we don't all have to drive through the same bit of mud this year hey?

I was getting a little concerned my old 316 tourer won't manage to keep up with the 540/335 and any of your fleet Tom.
It's a good job I've started getting it ready for Roam,by slotting in the 2.5 lump and a
slipper.
Once I've got through Roam,I'll really start looking forward to the trip.

I am looking forward to it if i'm honest.
Haven't been over for a few years, so it'll be good to get back, more so if it's good weather,as opposed to it peeing down,as it sometimes is.

The first time I went to Le mans we were at this stage in December, having booked the ferry and campsite etc so we had an even longer wait!
It still won't come soon enough.
I want to do the stickers malarky, but after 'issues' previously I am not sure its worth it. They also draw a fair bit of the wrong attention.
Jon, how are you taking the bikes. Yesterday I went out for a bike ride and squeezed 2 in the boot, but there would be little room for anything else. Having a bike rack severly limits ones speed
It is probably a good thing with the amount of plod about.
Tommo, are you taking a left hooker iX? That is executive, toll boths won't be an issue for you!

Indeed Jon, the iX will be making an appearance
MOT retest for her tomorrow, I might even finish off the aircon retro fit before we go

They take up a heck of a lot less space once you've pulled the wheels off... rack won't be out of the question though - we'll just have to wait & see. Would rather drive slowly (Jon_Bmw wrote: I want to do the stickers malarky, but after 'issues' previously I am not sure its worth it. They also draw a fair bit of the wrong attention.![]()

Stickers, a la:

Just gets in the spirit of things, but it has a habit of pulling lacquer off upon removal in my experience.
Jon, I am thick when it comes to bikes, I could take the front wheel off, but the rear would be another matter with all those gears and shit.
Isn't walking to arnage pissed up, one of the better things to do??

I can sort your bike for you.
The trundle round to arnage is all good (& shall no doubt be done again), but it would be nice to get further afield too!

Getting wet is part of the fun, no?
In all seriousness, the weather is looking better for this year according to some climate gurus. Fingers crossed. To dry and the bastard dust goes everywhere, to wet and we'll need Tom in the iX to pull us out.

Just working out the fuel costs...I'd advise you lot not to pay too much attention, especially you Dave!
908 Miles return trip so plus another 50-60 for fannying about in Le mans getting lost.
I reckon I can do an average of at least 27mpg, so 950/27 = 35 gallons of fuel
£150ish.
Ho hum.
Anyone else beat 27mpg?

Is that all.
Hardly worth mentioning TBH.
Spent £100 on fuel just doing the shortened version of Zone Roam.
I've changed the diff ratio on the tourer and avg about 28.8-30.3MPG according to the OBC
