E36 318is problem...

I have just been given a 318is (this one to be exact http://www.driftworks.com/forum/drif...8is-cheap.html )

I am having a slight problem with it... the engine was replaced due to a cracked head and now the guy i got it off has lost the imobiliser fob so she wont evean turn over, i was told by one person its the EWS which i looked for and looked for and now i am assuming this car doesnt have EWS...

I lose the storage space (mother in laws drive) in a week and unless its running i am reluctant to pay for any other storage if i am flogging a dead donkey...

Does anyone have any ideas how to get her to turn over on the key?

My local BMW nut has said to rip the engine out and scrap the rest but i dont want to do that as evean tho its a cat C car it seems pretty solid underneath.

if you like the car get a sparky to come remove the imob from the car as i did with one of mine worth the £30 i payed all day long. just a thought
