Hey guys, can anyone decipher this for me?

I'm reading it as the car was first registered in 1980 and last taxed in 1981? Surely that cant be right. It's an old 3.0csl.

A quick stumble through wikepedia calls it an 'E9' probably a 3.0cs but apparently it was last made in 1975. I thought it was a 70's car.

Yes, that implies that NOO800V, a red 2800 CS was last taxed until 1st Feb 1981 only.

Begs the question why a car would only have been registered for a year, and it appears not have been exported. What could possibly explain the liability date or colour change?

Looks like you might have to ask a few questions Chris, but don't lean on it, it might collapse sideways

I must have typed that as you did your post Chris. An import that was only taxed for a year and then got its colour changed. Unless they pre-empted the rust red

Anybody got a link to the site that used to list similar info to the DVLA (above) but it also had number of owners listed?

Needs a real hero to take that on...given that it's LHD,it may well have come to blighty with a returning serviceman from Germany,regestered,used the thing for a while then got fed up with it...best be realistic,may make a parts donor for a more solid example.

That doesn't need blessing, it needs the last rites!!

Rust on the TOPS of the front wings does not bode well for the rest...

A LHD 2800CS is never going to be a huge value classic...leave it alone or use it for any salvageable parts...
interiors are the only really hard thing to get, other than the panels, but if the glass is good, I'd keep that along with window regulators, wiper linkage and the headlights...

As a load of parts it probably has some value..as a project it is hardly gonna be worth it, I reckon...
