Quick one as above, my car's suffering from the DME relay symptoms but I don't have any manuals or anything handy to tell me which one it is. It's a 318i touring btw.

Cheers lads. :D

K7 is an unloader relay, and is in the fuse box.
Fuel pump relay is under the bulkhead wiring cover, is identical electrically to K7, but has lugs on the case to hold it in place.
DME relay is also under the bulkhead wiring cover, but is a five pin double pole relay, also with securing lugs.

DME relay is not the same as the fuel pump one and costs more in £10-£20 price range

Just to clarify, the DME relay is closer to the o/s, and the fuel pump in the middle?

Not necessarily, as the mounts easily unclip, and they can be put back in any order.
The DME relay has five pins; the fuel pump relay, and lambda sensor heater relay (if fitted) are identical, and have four pins.
The DME relay is switched on by a section of the ECU in response to 12v+ from the ignition switch being applied to it, and applies power to the injectors, the fuel pump relay (but doesn't turn it on), and the rest of the ECU.
