noive never used burton power,it was a drive in drive out complete supply and fit conversion by the garage that cost me £5500 in 2004 iirc. things ive changed since then, 3 different turbos, uprated headgasket,chips,injectors , recon ported and polished head,different manifold etc have come from various places.

Bang on LS3 is very hard to beat in terms of power to pound coins and be brand new engine, non of this 9th hand raped to hell missed serviced, rattly m3 type conversions.

One problem with foreign swaps is that every manufacture has a different method for dealing with it's engine management.

A different way to handle the idle - A different way of fuel management - A different way to supply and monitor air

From ICV to MAF AFM and MAP and Wideband 02 sensors. They all have they've all got their own methods and it's a pain to try an intergrate with our machinary.
Not any more difficult than using engines from bmw tree, infact many are easier :mad:

if your doing a foreign engine conversion youll be changing the management anyway.

Yes but still need to link up the dash and trip meter things as some crazy people believe to be gods honest truth. Its the splicing into 20yr old looms with alarms and imobilisers hacked in all over the place along with lashed up stereos installs which makes any conversion difficult.

Also previous owners half finished 'custom' jobs.
