Snag is,'02's were not built to the same standard as E30,so any 'barn find' will need lots of love from the MiG.A lot of them found their way into hedges backwards, back in the day...

Last year I saw a stunning orange 2002tii on the M6, I was really tempted to offer him a swap for the Z4...

Yep, even badged as a touring.
A mate has one of these in a delightful 70s yellow colour, needs much welding and paint to look at good as this one though!

Awesome aren't they! There's an old couple who live just around the corner from me who have a 2002 in a similar colour that they take out on sunny days- I'd love it!! Their daily driver is a beige hand-painted Ambassador so there is no accounting for taste I'm afraid!! Maybe they don't know what they have?

knock-knock.....??
Should I try?

That colour is Inca Orange...
I used to have an Inca 1802 (2002 with 1786cc M10 motor) that I restored after dragging out from someones garden...
The Tourings were innovative at the time (early 70s), but they weren't as strong as the saloons...I know of a shell that may be for sale if anyone is interested...
my old 1802

1987 Henna Rot M3 (was 195bhp CAT..now more and no cat)

I adore these cars - recently sold a set of alloys to an old couple who are restoring their old 2002 - I was VERY clear that if he ever wanted to sell, I was his girl!! LOL I think I scared them

http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C87806/ - was 1995
is an absoulute bargain - colours not great but with turbo arches and an m20 supercharged beast under the bonnet for a few grand who could argue !

They are my favorite BMW, after the E30 of course. Would have to be a 1974 round rear light tii in Inca orange.
The turbos have "turbo" on the front written back to front so when you see it in your rear view mirror you know what it is and you know it's time to move and let it past!!!! COOL AS.
If you want to now anything about them - or just see some really nice ones go to
http://www.bmw2002.co.uk/ They always have some great looking cars of the month - and there's a cars for sale section too.
