Bolted together with cambelt today and turned over today...


F***ing clash between valves and piston 6 +-45degrees off tdc,

tried backing off the eccentrics but no joy,

Its being taken apart tomorrow -hopefully all will become apparent,

its like the time i put a 2litre gasket on the 2.5 but i dont suppose its that simple, should be hearing from the machine shop tomorrow :?

Dowel in the crankshaft catching on the engine stand -phew! lol!

That will be a beast... I think a gathering of all these 2.5+ cars could be entertaining, if nobody wants that 4.27 ive been trying to flog then it might get welded for 1/4 mile abuse :twisted: :D

Aiming to swap it in ready for startup/innitial running in monday/tuesday -week after next.

Shall be phoning to arrange popping over to get diff swapped etc,

Looked under the headlining the other day -no rust :D

I've no idea about the technical side of that engine, but it sure is pretty!
