Well I have got some new rims to roll around on and use for the track. I gave them a run out and a mate of mine took this at a pub meet at the weekend.

Looks great - the clean lines go well with the simple, elegant outline of e28. Classy and understated!
Love the car color - what is it? Some sort of metallic green? Is the silver stripe standard? Goes well with the chrome! Off to forum.bmw5.co.uk to look for a photo gallery

I think its black and the light reflecting of it gives it a green tint.

The wheels are on the wrong way round!
Looks good though! Are they the 17x8 forged ones?

They are mate, so hence they all point the same way (correct on the other sideJhonno wrote:The wheels are on the wrong way round!![]()

The car is Agate green as has been said, the trim is actually Taurus red, oxblood would have been offensive against the green I reckon, much more red...
Steve, I prefer the look of the 42s too ! These will be used on the track and during winter once the 42s have been refurbed.
Thanks for the comments
Oxblood

Taurus (mine)

Thanks for pointing out the difference, I thought they're one and the same. I struggle to imagine Oxblood going well with any color, too eye-bleed inducing

That piccy is in a white car and it actually looks ok with that. Possibly silver or black may work too with oxblood, but not alot else !

Yeah they must be reps, all wheels identical hence they are only the right way round on one side... they are german made, all 8x17 and ET18...

Ahh.. Should have told me you're looking for some rims. I have my dustbins up for sale in every combination.
If I could have found a decent cheap rust free E28.., That's what would be happening to it. Drop the V8 into it, and chuck my dustbins on it. 17x8/9 without the covers, awesome!

I love your car fella but I do feel both sets of wheels look to modern for it. Particularly the 42s bizzarely. I actually preffered it with the 16" wheels you had for track.
Imo (not that my opinion counts for your car lol) Id sell them all and go for some proper old skool BBS 3 piece RS or at the least a nice set of RC style 5s.
Regardless Id like your 535i even if it was on 14" steels lol.

I like the Rondell 58s too...The throwing stars are just a bit of fun. I would like a set of style 5s but I cannot justify the expense. The cheapest sets are still too expensive at the moment.

These wheels look much better in reality that they do on a screen in my opinion.

You got them for a song as well didn't you fella?
O/T - Your dad's E30 touring is in good nick isn't it! I noticed it at Ant's recently.

Yeah, with decent Michelin rubber too.
The old man's touring is lovely, despite being a humble 320i auto it drives beautifully, then it has only got <70k on it. A very tight genuine low mileage car.

nah.. Go the rondells./ Everyone has gone style 5's. Be in the "out" crowd.

17x 8.5 all round. (you can get 10s as well!)

I do like the rondells, but may as well stick with the 42s, they are quite uncommon on E28s too and a vaguely similar apart from being 2 piece splits and having a slightly smaller dish.
