Starter motor removal ????

Hiya guys, i need advice on how to remove my old starter motor, i sort of "had-a-go" earlier but got a bit stuck :?
I undone 2 nuts both of wich held in place wires, 1 red and 1 black from one nut and 1 thin black wire from behind another nut, no what do i do, i cant sem to find anymore nuts and bolts :cry: :cry:
is the starter motor 2 cylinders side by side ? just next to and below the servo ?
How do i get this thing off its driving me crayayzee !

your half way there mate :)
now just 2 nuts and bolts,1 near the top
and 1 near the bottom.(of the starter motor)

ps,yes thats the starter motor with the wires on.its attached
to the bell housing.

Cheers Bob, i suppose it'll make more sense to me when my starter motor arrives, then i can see where the bolts will come from by looking at yours.
Is it easier for me to do it from under the car as i cant see the nuts looking from the top of the engine bay ?

yep, you should be able to get at the bolts much easier from underneath

You've probably already done it but just in case you have'nt .
Is the battery disconected?

I'm doing it today John after ive fitted my exhaust, thanks for the info mate, didnt know about the battery :oops:

I'm amazed things didn't go bang if you disconnected the large red wire without disconnecting the battery. The red wire is connected directly to the battery ...

Disconnect the negative (-ve) from the battery and you'll be OK
