Midlands Meet 12th April

Thanks to The diddler for arranging the meet and to all those that turned up.Shame that the Notts/Derby lot were late due to a nightmare on the M42. Met some good people today and saw a few real nice 30s. My personal favourites were Steve's red sport and Ritz Grey one,two fine examples. Also like the bronzeness of Capri Robs chrome rightness. Forgot loads of names already,so if anyone has a pic of each car and a name to go with it..........
Anyhow,here are a few I took on my phone(Eric Sonysonn C905)

No worries on the route home Steve, good stretch of road from the Belfry to Drayton Manor,the little bit of undulating road before the dual carriageway is great when it's clear . The side ways action at the lights very nearly turned into an unintentional donut .That 42 looked like hell for the northerners.
I can't seem to get my pictures to display in what I would call "normal size" on the here.they all come up small and you can't really see the detail.any ideas anyone?

Must do this again some time soon. I'm gonna look at the North Wales meet too, would be a great drive from Telford, twisty Welsh roads.

It was great to meet so many enthusiastic people and their E30's, my missus knows it's not just me!!

Well what can i say, a great day had by all, at least 30 cars as well.............

So may nice cars, Ritz's factory fresh sport, Rav's 335 cab, Minerals gorgeous cab, Loweys bright red sport, A splatering of Alpinas, lots of great looking cabs from the Derby/Notts lads, Initial G's track breast, Imys monter stretch wheels, the list go on and on, so good to see lots of e30's in the same place.

However one thing i did notice was the amount of Moredoors that turned up, it's like i always say yer know......................................

Moredoors are like Garlic Bread, there the future !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Roll on the next meet in another months time, only need to sort a date, venue etc, not much to do.....

Edit: forgot to mention Capri Robs Bronzit chromie and Blackcountybimmermans also Bronzit £350 bargain buy, both nice cars!!!!!!!

was a cracking day out. Best bit was as usual the noise that came out of Ravs car! Also I think all the cars were 6 pots.

Have to say the friendly nature and common intrest in e30's really shown the zone in a great light. I am sure were have got some new members because of todays meet. Two guys had only discovered us on Thursday and turned up ( forgot name but brilliant chatting ). Best bit was it's such an easy meet for me to get to. Hope this is the first of many.

Diddler if you ever need help again with a meet just give me a shout mate and be happy to do so. Rav as ever good to see you and your chariot, scoot I'll get the sticker sorted on Tuesday for you mate.

Could I ask for a Tuesday night as I don't work weds so is it tons easier for me to do on a regular basis.

This has to be the easiest meet I had to go to outside the Oxford one and I would love to do a regular meet.

Also did anyone find the roundabout was perfect for back end out naughtyness I nearly soiled myself when it went lol

Open to tuesdays, shouldnt be a problem, we'll see how that goes down.

yeah that roundabout can be rather fun if your car is powered form the right wheels, i.e those at the back.......

Yeah on the ramp back onto the A road it just did a nice break away and snapped back into line as I drove up it.

Was a shame we had no zone stuff to sell at the meet. I'll have a chat with Iain to see if we get some for the meets. Be nice to promote the zone and help raise some funds for the zone too.

I'm hoping we can get these numbers to go to some of the bigger multi meets like Gaydon to really give impressive numbers to the zone.
