hay mate its most likely coming in though your boot. cheak your aireal, seals around the lights, above the lights run your fingers underneth where the plastic trim an whiring is there is prob gunu be rust. remove the boot seal itself cheak for rust, plus drainage pipes. cheak the jacking points. your probably better off taking the carpet out and looking for holes!, and try and get behind the glove box and have a look. htese are all the places i no of :)

I'd second heater matrix if it's the front footwells.

your frot jacking points are probably rotten, or the bulkhead next to the fuse box / battery tray.

take the carpet out and get someone to spray a hose over the outside of the car. plus it'll never dry out once it's got wet and been left in the car.

the drippin g sound is probably water getting past the door window seals and dripping into the door void. theyre not a water tight seal (and never will be) which is why the door will have drain holes in the bottom. might be worth checking that these aren't blocked, and that there is still the plastic membrane behind the doorcard.
cheers,

if you have a sunroof, check the drain tubes for corrosion, mine have gone and had the same outcome

in my opinion its simply the sills full of water, overflowing in to the passenger footwells. look under neath and locate the drain holes in the sills, remove the crud from there and allow the water to drain out.

Sunroof drains into the boot, and if your heater matrix you would loose coolant water.

its a long snout like appendage often seen on the front of Elephants, they occaisionally can be seen spraying water on tourists and young children, or on rare incidents spraying water into E30 foot wells.

It's a small black rubber tube which lets the water out from the area under the windscreen. Think very very small elephant, however.

Easily gets full of sludge leaving the water to find its own way out (usually into footwells).

Drivers side of the car......

Just pulls off, sometimes disintegrates, then pushes back on again :D

if the trunk is blocked then the water should run out of the hole behind the passenger wing once its built up enough to pass over the two bits of metal that kind of get in the way. either that or it eats into the seam below the heater box and comes through into the cabin. the heater box design is not BMW's finest hour on the e30.
