morning ladies & gents.

right what i'm looking for is a decent cleaning/waxing/polishing set up that won't cost the earth but will give the car that pristine shine again & that won't have to be done every week.

i hope that clear enough as i don't want to spend a fortune on it as i am on a budget so let me know please.

any help would be gratefully received.

steve.

Look at Chemical guys products, Very cost effective and give a cracking finish.

This was taken after a coat of the Factory sealant

Superb products for a budget user. I'd stick to the sealants for a white car, waxes don't tend to leave such a nice shine for some reason.

They are available from the very nice people at www.cleanyourcar.co.uk

I have been buying from them for a long time now and the service is fantastic. I honestly do not have a bad word to say about them (I am in no way affiliated with CYC just a very happy customer)

just had a look at their site it looks pretty good so in a few days i'll be ordering a few bit's & pieces to get the car done.

when i get them & this fecking rain/mist/drizzle gives up & i get chance to give the sport a good going over i'll (try &) post some pic's up of the end result.

now i know why that car of yours allways looks so good in your sig.

If you want something that you can purchase locally, try autoglym super resin polish followed by a coat of autoglym extra gloss protection, gives a great glossy look. this what i did with mine last year :)

Autoglym bumper care, is a green gel, a little goes a long way, gives a great finish too.

Forget the super resin polish. I use the AutoGlym Ultra deep shine. It really is night and day above the Super resin even on white.

Super Resin Polish all the way. Its a great product and gets a very good reputation. The UDS doesnt really get as good a rep, its reputed not to be as easy to work with as SRP.

Anyway

AutoGlym Super Resin Polish
Extra Gloss Protection
A good Wax and you will be onto a winner. I like Collinite's products.

Actually you could keep it in the AG family and use their High Def Wax.

£40 will buy you some Zaino Z2 and ZFX, I last put a coat of it on my car in november, it's still giving some protection now, it's only going on one car it will last for ages, you use it so sparingly, half a ZFX bottle does the car 3 times, have a look at Pro Detailing.
