Bought my first E30 about a year and a half ago. Need to change the hood now and I have heard that choosing the right company is paramount. I want it to look OEM and a quality installation at a great price.

Anyone done it recently and any recommendations?

one or two of us have used
http://www.car-hood.co.uk/content.php?nID=2&offset=0
If you ring them they will send you a sample and tell your where their nearest fitter is

the main dealers will charge you mega and will send it out to fit anyway

WOW! Prices are more expensive than I thought when you factor in fitting! Is this something I can fit myself?

It's possible. All depends how brave you are! I'm not.

Keep your eye out for hoods from broken cars - on here and on evilbay. You might be able to get one in good nick for less outlay, already fitted to a frame. They don't come around often though and don't hang around long when they do. You may also be able to sell your hoodframe minus the hood and recoup some dough. It's not ideal, but may be an option if you don't want to spend too much.

Look on ebay.com for a seller called diamond mall. He sells 3 different qualities for 200, 285 or 345 dollars with 75 bucks postage. Then all you need is a fitter .......

Where are you please? Sounds a good deal if it is genuinely near mint.

Martin.
