is there such a thing as a black dashboard?

as above really, I swear in some photos some dashboards appear black

do I need glasses as they're all the dark grey or were there some black dashboards produced?

All I can say is that my '93 Tourer has a very, very dark grey dash witch is cracked to buggery (most be something in the pigment??) But I have seen a Black one in a scrapyard near me that's mint!

Mine's black, and AFAIK I've only ever seen black ones.
I've seen pic's of the light grey one (is it originally from one of the special edition convertibles?) and I want one!

The one from my 83' 320i is as black as it gets, bit of a shine on it now though.
I think the face lift ones had the sheen taken off to stop the reflections and probably wouldn't stay jet black after a few scrapes so they went for the dark grey's
