Im looking to rebuild an m20 engine. Iv been lost in the google world for days now looking for decent diy info with no luck. Its a 325i 885 head on an eta 2.7 bottom but really im looking for a general engine rebuild link.
Can anyone suggest a link?
thanks.

a few bits like
=torque settings
=processes of dismantle / reassemble
=things to look out for etc
I know the 2.7 eta conversion is another thing but im up to date with that (i think)

Good evening -get hold of a bently manual for the e30 -all the tollerances/torque settings/procedures you will need are in there, if there is anything you cant find there than there is plenty of info here

B7 is doing a photo re-build of an M20,check out the photo gallery. Simon13 has just done the same with his Alpina touring, check out the photo gallery.Jazzman did a 2.8 build a while back, a search should bring it up.M20 is a logical engine to strip and re-build,take your time and enjoy it.
