what front springs are you guys with m50s using ?
Ive got some -40 eibach 318is springs but there gonna be to soft right?
also got some -60 spax 325 springs but think there to low!?
any ideas i wouldn't mind it being -60 but on the IS with just -40 i used to bottom out that sump ! it is going to be an every day car but not too bothered about ride comfort.
cheers simon

I had 60/40 spax springs on my old 4 door M50 (car in sig) it was ridiculously low, they were new springs, so in theory it would only get lower, I had to raise the spring seats on the front and have alloy spacers made up for the rear to bring it up to a useable height.
I wouldnt buy spax again, ok for road use but they are a bit soft TBH

Eibach and H&R seem to be the most recommended for any E30, ive bought some H&R -35, Bob_S has these with bilstein B8's and sprints, watching his M50'd car round Oulton Park they looked more than up to the job

I'm going for a 40 drop front & rear on the touring, they should be fitted this weekend.
I wanted H&R or Eibach but touring owners get well & truly reamed on the cost of springs compared to the cost for saloons, so I bought some Weitec springs and am using Bilstein B6 front dampers.

Depends where you buy them from, I searched for ages and eventually got them for about £111, other suppliers were wanting £150-£160 odd which is a plss take

Give this lot a try, it's where I got my springs from and they carry a few different brands

They are expensive IIRC,
These - clicky - were about £30 cheaper a couple of months ago! Seems like everywhere is jacking the price up

If you look in the motorsport/trackday section of the forum there's lots of info on that...
I had the H&R springs on my iS and loved them. I have just fitted a second hand set of 325i ones to my S50'd car.. I'll have to let you know how it sits, I left a hub in coventry and cant get it till Friday!

Trouble is, the dampers I've fitted are brand new E36 M3 Bilstein B6's. Not sure if they'll make it sit high till they wear a bit. I shall try my best to get it on the deck tomorrow (I only have to fit two track rod ends, a droplink and a hub).

how did you get on with pics of the car? Have any of you boys gone back on your decisions and bought different springs yet?

This is my touring with M50 donk in sat on Bilstein B6 dampers and Weitec 40mm springs front & rear.
The car hasn't seen any use though so will probably settle more and it has 60 profile balloons instead of 55
