any ideas why fuse 17 keeps blowing?, it's the fuse for the electric windows (doors closed). they work for a bit then blow, is there any thing i should be looking out for to solve this problem? that's driving me

it's 30 amp, would i be right in thinking it may have something to do with a faulty door pin switch? as also the interior lights only work when you open the passenger door and yet don't work when you open the drivers door

30A is the correct rating.snake-eyes wrote:it's 30 amp, would i be right in thinking it may have something to do with a faulty door pin switch? as also the interior lights only work when you open the passenger door and yet don't work when you open the drivers door
Your driver's door pin switch needs a service, but this won't be anything to do with the fuse blowing.
Do you just find the fuse blown when you try to use the windows, or does it blow when you are actually moving one?
Any possibility of any aftermarket stuff having been connected to fuse 17?
Has fuse 28 ever blown instead with the doors open, or is the fuse blowing so infrequent that this is statistically unlikely?
