E-bay is your friend.

I sold a maplight mirror for £65, and an un-stitched M-tech II wheel for £103 recently.

Simon, loving the updates, can't wait until my thread turns into a rebuild thread instead of the taking apart!!

Its not a shagged 3.91!

£300 is the going rate for a minty 3.73!
I don't see why not, prices seem to be between 250-300.
If its a low mile dry quiet one surley its the 300?

And in the less common ratio of 3.73!

I got you're text barry, thanks. I really wanted a 3:64, It seems to suit my car better than the 3:73.

But I'm working on it  . I'll bell you.

So..........week 5 passes and still no camshaft, every week on the phone "friday" i hear, this has been twice after being told 10 days 4 weeks before

But anyhow plenty other goings on!

Image

Image

Here are a couple of the small plates needed on the drivers inner arch. Every E30 i've had that i have bothered to check this area has needed wome welding.

It's always around the welded on brackets. This car was pretty good and none of it was really visable. But i hope we are sorted for long time now it's all undersealed up!

Image

So with that all dry onwards with the rest of the fuel system

Image

All back in and plain sailing..............until the big 19mm bolt which holds the bottom of the shock to the trailing arm stripped it's thread when i was torquing it up :? I replaced the very new koni adjustibles on the car with some good old bilsteins to match the front shocks. KW 60mm rear springs. I've got the H&R touring springs but they look way too high! I may fit them later though

fooking pain in the arse but i guess just bolting another good arm on will be the best fix, never goes smoothly!

Image
Image

The whole of the interior back in at last!

Image

Car finally on all 4 wheels, only for a short time now we have a trailing arm swap to do!

When will it all end! lol

I see, was thinking I could use the fronts for a DIY coilover bodge-up.

Car is looking good by the way, I'm looking forward to seeing how it goes.

So today dealing with the minor dilema! Feels like a full time bloody job this car now

Image

Jacked up again

Image

Trailing arm out! I didn't take anymore as i was bored of it! I'd had to take the "spare" trailing arm off the breaker turd before. But it's all done and no thread stripping on the big 19mm bolt for the shock haha

But, someone in a previous life had cross threaded the metal brakeline at the caliper end. So i had to swap the pipe from the old arm. Also to top it off the wheel bearing is hammered. I swapped the whole lot including the handbrake cable seemed the easiest way. I've never actually done this job on an E30 before today!

So curing one job created another but its a better trade off me thinks

Image
Image

Pulled the smoked indicators and side repeaters off my 2dr resto as thats going for the standard look! So not all boring stuff today

Will be a mean ass from the front view with the spoiler!

All yee bow to the camshaft of Dr.Schrick!

Image

Nice tape eh?!

Image

Prized morsel! Sal got there in the end! spec is 284/272. This works very well with the Racing dynamics 6 branch as RD used s very similar cam on their 2.7's

Also sorted a nice tailgate, so all good.

Need to collect my M3 brake master cylinder now to get her on the road

So we'll be working towards a running engine for saturday :tongue2:

Whoop whoop :woohoo:  :bmw:

More seriously now, its a lovely thing and nice to see a lot of attention being put into getting the engine spot-bollock-on.

Wtf must your drive look like with all the scrap you are accumulating, I bet wifey is well chuffed! Whats the car count now?

£39 Dan cheap as! makes up for the euro situation

E36 is going for a better life in the staples to naples run! 1 e30 being scrapped. New e30 as a daily and the pinas as toys. Jubbly

I only own half of the touring, about time it spent some time on it's other owners drive!
