Hello boys and girls,
Not being trained in anyway and not having found the answer in either the haneys or the e30 repair manual I have only a slim idea what the pipe in the picture I´m posting is, (air under pressure coming back from the head???)
anyway its split to f**k and I´m hoping it is the cause to the rough running and rich fuel to air mixture I´ve been struggleing with,

Also there is a strong smell of petrol in the cabin when i stop or use the heater,
I was poking around looking for a leaking fuel line and found thee signs of leaking,

so I´m thinking I might have found the culprit, anyone got any ideas as to the most likely cause of these leaks (which fuel line) and if you could mark them on the picture I would really appreciate it,
Thanks for any help you can give me,
Whats this (with pictures)??

not sure but i had similiar problems. cracked air pipes seemed to cause me wobbly idleing, it would just hunt up and down, you would be surprised the difference it makes when it is replaced.
not sure if it would give you a rich mixture, i wouldnt think so, but chances are if that air pipe is cracked and perished you may have more cracks .
good way to check is to spray joints and pipes with brake cleaner while the engine is running, if the engine revs a little when you spray you have found a leak and the brake cleaner burns harmlessly away.
i have limited experience but i am sure someone with a little more will be along shortly
