E30 Fan Belt Replacement

My fan belt has snapped and I have a replacement but I need help getting the sucker on.

I have an 1991 e30 bmw 318i

if anyone can help I would appreciate it.

just slacken of the alternator to remove tension on the fan belt.

then take the belt of over the fan blades and put the new one back on and adjust the alternator.

The front of your M40 engine should look similar to this one.
