I don't find it a problem, once you get used to it. I think cars can feel much better in LHD form as that it how most cars are designed.
Only down sides are overtaking can be trouble some on single lane roads, car parks or drive thru's where you have to lean over or get out. Other that that it's fine.
It's really not a big deal and I got used to it very quickly, the gearbox took a bit longer until I didn't have to think what gear I was in or were the next gear was. LOL

As kev said you get used to it, but also what you have to remember
with an ///M3 is that its not just sitting on the other side of the car you
have to contend with theres also a wonky gearbox ( dogleg 1st ), so
put them both together can make it fun at first...

You do get used to it failry quickly. Just use the curb as reference point instead of the middle lines. Overtaking on country lanes...just wait for a right hand bend and you can see oncoming traffic much earlier than RHD
I jump between LHD and RHD all the time and find it ok.

As the others have said, not annoying or a problem, give yourself a couple of weeks and you will be hooked.

Hello,
You get used to the fact the car is left hand drive.
I find it very beneficial in london as there are many cyclists etc and being kerbside ensures you dont Tbone them if you are turning and they are continuing.
Gotta agree with the m3 owners above about the rest.
Anyway, it feels really natural changing gear with your right hand(well for me anyway as I am right handed!)
Hope this helps.

same here, got a lefty and it feels much more practical to have the gear lever on my "work" hand.

my right hand tends to be kept busy trying to keep my damn car in a straight line and wrestling the damn thing to go round corners
dogleg would be nice though, guess i need a drive in an m3 to confirm... any offers??

My standard piece of advice is that you shouldnt let it put you off. 90% of people can adjust perfectly well. But as people say car parks and overtaking are the issues. As long as you're aware of this you'll be fine.
Any incidents Ive had in my car would have happened regardless of which side of the car the steering wheel is on. Cack handed fool that I can be

Like they've said LHD isn't a problem, but the dogleg box takes a bit of getting used to. You just have to be a bit more careful overtaking, or changing lanes on dual carriageways. And there's a lack of forward visibility on country lanes with hedges.
the biggest problem for me was I kept getting in the passenger side after filling it up with petrol

yeah, you just have to pretend to do something and then casually walk round the other side.
I had a copper pull me over once when I was with a lass and they went to the wrong side.
Comedy.
