The seller is full of sh1t. I have owned 3 EXACTLY like that as in full electic memory buffalo leather etc etc. Two were fragged as they were not worth fixing. I foolishly tidied one up and struggled for 6 months to get £400 for it and even then the ginger freak who bought it wanted to sue me because the brake lights stopped working a month later !

I very much doubt that BMW would specially zinc dip this 'one-off' prior to painting - imagine the extra cost involved in having that done!

My first BMW was an E23. A 728iA to be precise which was cool at 18!

I would entertain a 745i or a B10 3.5 but nothing else.

I do quite like the E23, but i think he's pushing his luck with this one!!!!

I work just round the corner from where this is - have noticed it, it's nice enough, but i don't remember the special badges on the back - i thought i would've notice if they were there before!! It wasn't on those Hartge rims either, last time i saw it!!

If he's set a reserve to what he thinks and won't sell it for peanuts, he won't sell it!!!!! I've seen nicer E23's go for about £400-500 on the bay!!!

It's decently specced by the look of it, my mate's old man had a really nice E23, it sat on our driveway back in 1990 for a good few months whilst my old man sorted the gearbox on it. I spent many an hour (pre-driving licence days) sat in it playing with the gadgets, most noticeably the bonanza of Blaupunkt kit it had, both the Tuner and the separate Equalizer were known as the "Swan neck" design and sat independently of each other either side of the centre console.

I'd have a nice pristine 735 or like Barry said, a nice 745 for a bit of boosted fun.
