Hi Guys,

I want to fit a rear spoiler - the original type on my 325i Cabby. Any advice before I attempt the job. I guess it's not as simple as offering it up and starting to drill!!!

I feel this could lead to

Cheers.

when i did mine i put maskingtape all over the back of the boot so i could litley youse a pencill to mank up with and chech meshermants. i think it makes sence to youse a small bit furst witch almost gets meld bu the tape. after drilling spoted the holes lined up with some holes in the strenthaning in the bootlid. allthough drilling from inside will leav a nastey burr.
Yer i am sorry for my bad spelling. i am dislexic and find it just as hard to read your posts as you do mine.

I agree, just been to bodyshop this afternoon for quote to get mine removed. guy said £150 - 170. booked it in for next week. but did come away wondering how much is a bootlid from dealer?

bet you can find a bootlid in your colour if you look hard enough for less than that.

Heck spoiler guys - little lip one, not the other awful looking one. You're right, it does make it look like a shopping trolley when the roof is down! :D

It's unpainted at the moment, so a respray will be needed. I'm anxious to avoid a crooked fix. Then it will look like a D**ks car!

to remove spoiler then fill holes, fibreglass then paint. However gonna buy used bootlid just repaint. will get better result. i hope.

It'd be cheaper to source a second hand boot-lid
