i am considering buying an mtech 2 body kit for my 4 door saloon. problem is mine calypso red, the kits white or black. need to get it resprayed. will i need to get the paint code and have it match, or will i find the colour without having to match codes?
also, with regards to pins and fittings, anyone know whats required for a 316i 4 door
respray body kit

Best to match codes.
You will need a full fitting kit (if the seller doesn't include it). The kit costs about £50 from the main dealer (OEM Parts section one here).

ah ok, as long as i can get it all in one package so to speak. would be hassle to get each part individually from different places.
how much do u think is reasonable for the kit? its in VG condition.

If it's fibreglass, walk away.
If it's genuine and in VGC then worth around £400 mark

Sound's to me like you have a 60mm drop.
With fitting the 325 engine you will also need to run the 325 suspension set-up. 40mm drop is ok

your paint code will be on the inner wing, next to where it says calipso red there will be a three didgit code followed by a batch code i.e. 709/1234. the 709 is the paint code, take this code to any paint suppliers and tell them its from BMW , code 709 (or what ever your is) they will be able to match the paint.
As for your kit fitting it is covered in the wiki pages..
