And is it really an Alpine? Decals look a bit suspect to me - where the Alpina logo is written on the doors doesn't fit with the rest of the stripe.

Its a 3.0 CSI. Theres a big difference in price to the CSL. Looks like it was a track car for a while. Its not a Alpina, just has the cosmetics.
Its looks in good nick to me. I'm sure it could be converted back to a road car. 3.5 engine looks very promising.

The CSL was engineered by Alpina, and is often considered the first M car.
The CSi wasn't AFAIK

Nowhere near the price given. 1k - 2k (CS coupe that is).

Does look a tad rich to say the least. Theres a guy round my way who cruises about in a bright yellow one with a E34 M5 lump in it, very sweet looking motor. Now I would buy this one if I had the cash its amazing!!

They keep readvertising this. Like you say, it seems odd that despite 10 years of ownership and 5 years of non-use they haven't got around to getting the b*stard to start!old_skool wrote:Specialist Cars of Oxon - that special they couldn't fix the 'electrical fault'?

Didn't realise it was a CSI - read it as a CSL for some reason. Thought that with the CSL's rarity it might be worth it even though it obviously needs a hell of a lot of work. How much does a decent condition CSL cost then at the mo? Saw a really nice one go for £19k a while back - not got the full batmobile kit, just the front airdam and flares on the bonnet - no spoilers. Would really love one - I think the interior with those Scheel seats or whatever they're called is gorgeous, along with that metal 3 spoked wheel with the holes in.Mox3d wrote:It is. Extremely. Guessing performance is about similar to a 325i? 7seconds 0-60 in standard road form?
