What does everyone think of kidney grilles painted black? (or any other colour for that matter).
I think it looks good on red and white E30s but thats really it.
Just wanted to get peoples opinion on this to see if they are divided about it or not.

i'd ask the same thing but for a lazur blue car. i think they look alright on dark cars too

I have painted the kidneys black on my lazer blue is and it looks lots better IMO. Make sure you use satin black paint though.

Grille is the only chrome I like on an E30, don't ask me why!

Yes, i paint the chrome inside the outer lamps, still work fine and beam pattern not altered. I use BBQ paint so it can withstand heat. Then i tint the outer lamp with film which doesnt fail the test as it only 30% tint. the lamp is still bright.
