tried the search and cant really find anything,

Iv recently got my 1st ever cab and have got no idea what to do to the soft top. what products to use etc to keep it dry (make water bobble) and to prolong its life.

Any help is apreciated

are good but quite a few people have used tent proofer and had no problems but the renovo product seems to win for the rear screen

I've just bought the Renovo kit after a recommendation from a friend who's ran 2 MX5s for years. Will post info on the results when it's done.

the auto glym kit is a winner imo and only costs £20

I used NIKWAX on mine, water proofs it a treat.
costs about 6 quid

The renovo kit is three step - clean, re-colour then waterproofer. Also has the stuff for taking the clouds of the plastic windows included. Kit costs £65 and is enough to do the job twice.

I agree- it's good stuff, works well. My cabby was stuck outside this winter and the rain is still beading off the roof as well as when it was first treated.

just bought the autoglym kit, give it a whirl if its no good i move on

i just bought some more,i wouldnt use the sponge that comes with it i use a stiff nail brush

I used the sponge - it works up a decent lather without being too aggressive on the fabric.

yes but after a couple of uses it starts to break up and leave white bits on the hood.

I only got two uses out of the bottle of cleaner anyway, so when I need to use a new kit, I'll get the new sponge with it...
