I've got 2 E30 325's:
-Touring with 147k, fsh, Switch Auto, de-chromed, headlight wash. (tow bar - sorry but it's true)
-S.Africa Saloon, 60k, OBC, Cruise, Aircon, Leather, better stereo.
I'm a sucker for the Touring and I prefer the Switch Auto, what I'm considering is doing an engine change and putting all the extras from the Saloon in the Touring.
While they're in bits I thought a LPG conversion woud save me Ԛ£Ã”šÃ‚£Ãƒ”šÃ‚£ on petrol! What do they go for now, I've seen a recent thread, Ԛ£700?
Part of me says I should just search for a Touring with the right spec but good ones are hard to find and I know the history of both these cars.
Arguments for both sides? All the Touring fans?
325i Engine Change/Spec Change/LPG Conversion - worth it?

Go for it! Nothing difficult to swap except perhaps the aircon, and the saloon will still be saleable after the work.
Not so sure about the auto box, though, even a switchable.
Qwynleym10 has just posted my photos of a LPG installation in a 325 touring. Savings into the thousands since I fitted it.

Aircon is the thing I think will be the most hassle, should get the thing vac-ed out first. Only reason I didn't think about changing to manual is this will require a few more bits that I don't have currently. I've got used to the chilled out auto driving although I think a manual is probably more fun.
I'll search out the LPG pictures, it's got to be worth it with fuel prices as they are although I don't know how long the tax concession will last?
Cheers.

Long enough to get back more than your investment, IF you can believe anything this government says.dannosail wrote:
