No the 261 BHP one with quite alot of "go"Pilsbury wrote:This is the "show but no more go" model isn't it - in that it's basically a standard 535i with Alpina bodykit and wheels?
I thought only the UK got those?
540 quick with out the same fuel bill
Alpina styling packages were available from Sytners on 3's, 5's and 7's. in the late 80's.
A B10 3.5 is a propper full on model though. 261bhp or 254 with a cat.

Si, i forgot to say. There is a small motor spares shop a few doors down from my work place. The owner has an E34 B10 3.5 in diamond scwartz.

This is the cheapest way of getting a propper Alpina, there have been a few for sale recently, some real some not.
I have seen 3 cars on ebay claiming to be build plaque no 1 so there may be some fake plaques?
Anyway the real no 1 is a red manual car and I think is an 89 car.
I think I will soon bin the e30 for a B10 e34.
I had an E28 B10 and a E34 535i sport and have allways wanted one of thease.

I have just had a very short wa@k over that.
That is actual porn.
Oh dear, I sold my E28s - why why why why.
I would cut my E30 in half by hand to get that.

The red one may be the RHD build number 1, which will be different to the LHD one!SUMPCRACKER wrote:This is the cheapest way of getting a propper Alpina, there have been a few for sale recently, some real some not.

Aye, there is also a no 1 auto. (its black)
Just got a reply from the seller of the first link (B10). Here is what he wrote:
It's left hand drive Auto box H reg 1990 and i have the v5 in my name the interior is cloth recaro's in very good condition one or two fag burns by some careless fool!
The bodywork is in very good condition i did mention the bubbling on the bumpers and that the stripes need to be re-done, the paint on the sunroof is faded there are some stone chips here and there and one or two small dings the rest is very good with no rust at all.
The car looks fantastic after a wash and wax and i keep it under cover it only comes out about once a fortnight and the alpina alloys are in great condition.
It has a new mot, the bridgestone tyres are like new and the brakes are very strong.
Some more pictures for you the price is £5000 a car like this is well worth it in my book puts a lot of modern cars to shame!
Should if looked after only appreciate in value, definitely one to be cherished i wish i could keep it just now is not the best time for me that said I'm in no rush to sell.
The car is an import from Japan(not by me it was imported in early 07 I'm the second UK owner) and does not have any service record but rest assured you can tell the quality from the way it drives and feels!
The front shocks look standard the rears are eibach the transmission is excellent no problems at all.
Seems quite expensive!!

Japan is the second biggest market for alpinas behind Germany. UK is a close 3rd.
The japs like their steering wheel on the same side as the country it originates from. LHD is uber kudos out there
