This is really starting to bug me

, so a little explanation
N2O is the chemical name for Nitrous Oxide
NOS or Nitrous Oxide Systems manufacture products to inject Nitrous Oxide into car engines. See here for more info
http://www.holley.com/index.asp?division=NOS
Anyone who continues to call Nitrious Oxide NOS will be visited by me in the middle of the night so I can cut up you copy of the Fast And The Furious.

Hmmm well as long as we're being pedantic, should it be made clear for the record that technically it is dinitrous oxide?

So it would be N2O2
But yes I agree no one should call it Nos it sounds silly

Carbon dioxide is not C2O2, just as dinitrous oxide is not N2O2. Two nitrogen and one oxygen arranged in a linear pattern as according to VSPER theory = dinitrogen oxide (N2o) Perhaps with a chemistry degree I do get a little pedantic with nomenclature, sorry...

Calling it nos, just makes you sound like a sad wanker who thinks 'nos' sounds cool.
In fact most people I've encountered calling it that seem to be 16 or 17 and avid max power readers

Cheers,
Robin
