I still think we need to ballast up to make things fair

I got the scales out tonight, with normal clothes, a boiler suit, a helmet and trainers i weigh in at 100.7 KGs

ballast up then bring it on.

you can have any advantage you like :D

This was my local track and the one I first drove a 100cc kart on, before racing nationwide in the championships, used to be called Super One, not sure now as it's 17 years since I raced in competition and the scene will have changed totally, as will my level of fitness :) people were using stopwatches not telemetry back then but the 100cc reed valve engines we raced used to peg it to a mighty 22000rpm depending on gearing :)

A lot more than 35 for me coming from down south but it's still worth it.

C'mon guys - let's get names on list and organise this. If we get lucky and it rains then teesside is the track to be at - I've never known a track as good for holding karts in a drift. The bottom and top corners are out of this world - me and my mate were twin drifting one handed around damn thing. Not many places you can do that in a kart!

We all payed £10 each deposit a couple of weeks before hand (payed on my brother in laws card) then just £25 when we got there,

It doesnt need to be serious :teehee: it's all just a bit of fun,
when i was there a few weeks back, it was totaly pissing down, and it was the best fun iv had in ages!!
your right about the top and bottom corners hoshy, there mint in the wet,
flat out, sideways, cant see anything because the visor was muddy as hell, had to drive about with it up for quite a while, my face was just coverd in mud, and i was just laughing away to myself inside my helmet

it's great!!!

Get a date up Omi.
Adam and i and a mate of mine in Edinburgh are interested.
I did the 24 hour Marathon last august, with buster,so although i,ve experienced the track, buster can vouch how slow i am !
The top boys were doing 1min 17secs (if my memory is right)my best was about 1min 23secs.I got used to being lapped!
I'll be going for the wooden spoon.

Nick

PS How's the 2.7 Craig?

Any update on this?
BTW, grand prix format is better than one race IMHO.

I was really hoping for a lot more interest... Just hasn't happened!

Will revisit shortly, bit hectic just now.
...or is it?
