today i`ve been offered this e21 320 auto,it has 54k,however has no history but by the condition im sure its correct,
condition wise, paint extreamly good,no rust except for a stone chip on the leading edge of the bonnet, nothing major, nore has it been welded.its been off the road since 1996 and has been in a barn until decemeber.
so really what is it worth,i know its only worth, what some one will pay for it,but im not awash with money at the moment and dont want to be had!

If it really is rust free ( highly unlikely for an E21 ) it could make a very nice car - why was it taken off the road in 1996 ? does it start, run and drive OK ? The guy must have some idea what he wants for it ?

As it will definately need work to recommission it as its been stood for 13 Years If he won't tell you how much he wants for it I'd probably start at £300 and work from there.

it was inside a barn with 33 other cars, the owner of the lot died, and the farmer has been told to clear it,he has the keys and v5,i poked the innner wheel archs chassis etc and its really really clean,
judging by the other cars that were in the barn(nothing intresting) it probley drove there,
due to it being ten yr +oil and it missing a HT lead and amplifier i didnt even try to start it,
the gear box oil looked the righ colour mind

Without knowing whether it runs then if you want it go in at silly low money - if the farmer has to clear 33 cars he probably wants the minimum hassle so you might get lucky.

You need to take it up on a ramp and check the floor and so on to see if there are any hiden rust spots under it!
The E21 will never get the same apeal as the E30, but like some one in side here says, 300 quid isnt a bad price for it maybe...

check for rust on the b pillar and the front wings that some of the e21 rust spots for a standard 320 auto I would not pay more than £800.00 for an absolute minter so for this I would not pay more than £400.00 if the guy had my arm up my back.
