Hi All

I am useless when it comes to audio but as the old Jalopy finally nears completion i would like to fit a decent stereo.

The only criteria I want to forfill is as follows:

*Sound quality - Not massive db of earth shaking bass just clear, quality sound.

*Fitting in - Dont want anything in your face with fancy lights or blinding displays as this wont work with the E30 dash in my opinion.

Eventually I plan to upgrade all speakers to aid with the above but i need to start with the headunit.

Recommendations?

I found this:

Pricey but that has the kind of styling i think will fit well with the E30.

thats a nice headunit but imo you can get one a lot cheaper which is just as good, alpine are a fantastic company and you could get a similiar unit ofthembrand new for 150ish, i got one for 120 a few months ago, put into my mini, absolutley brilliant and that was from halfords

i think it was an xda-300

Blaupunkt do some really nice clean looking headunits. The're quite pricey but worth the money if you wanna nice stereo.

One word

NAKAMICHI

OR an old skool DENON headunit.

Pricey, but worth it.
