Hey guys and girls, hows things? I have E46 323i SE saloon 2000 model. I want more power out of it. I have been told a remap, pulleys, manifold would give me 200bhp. Anybody able to verify this?
These are said to kick 170bhp standard but most apparently make 180bhp. Also my car is a right hand drive import. BMW dont have it on their uk database but do on the german one. It was first owned in spain or somewhere stupid like that (cant remember and cant be bothered going and checking the stamp in the service book!).
Again thanks in advance, im new to the forum to so any chat etc im up for!
Help! Needed!!!

Until I saw your location I was going to suggest that you spoke to Sal or Imran at Evolve, but they are based in Luton...expect that a Scottish based zoner is more likely to be able to point you towards someone closer to you.

The throttle body manifold mod is very popular, there is alot of info available online to verify the power advantages,it is possible to see around 200BHP as the 323i/523i were strangled to comply with EU emissions values.
Someone with more tech knowledge will be along soon.
I cant help thinking you are probably on the wrong forum for the answer though, there is an E36 forum with lots of info on it about the probable gains etc...

Hope that isnt breaking forum rules by posting that

Hey, thanks for replys guys! Maybe that forum you mentioned is worth a shot. My fav BMW is the E30 or the old 635i.
When funds permit a mint E30 325iS coupe in Dolphin Grey (think thats what BMW called the colour) will be my toy
Along side my E46 of course!

Just so you know, the e30 only applies to the 3 series. Don't know what the e number for a 635 is though!OldSkoolCool wrote:Hey, thanks for replys guys! Maybe that forum you mentioned is worth a shot. My fav BMW is the E30 or the old 635i.

i think fitting a 325i inlet manifold would release a few ponies as a 323i is a 325i with a restrictive inlet manifold

Thats definitely possible on the E36 323i and E39 523i but I don't think its that simple on the E46. Try an E46 forum.Alex wrote:i think fitting a 325i inlet manifold would release a few ponies as a 323i is a 325i with a restrictive inlet manifold
