Lovely and original - a wolf in sheeps clothing, remove the 540i stick a 518i badge on the rear

Previously owned loads of old E30s, E34s, a few E36s, E32s, E39s and an E38.
Currently in a diesel Audi - miss me old E30's....

I think it looks beautiful and I think I'm getting the urge to get rid of the daily driver Volvo V70 and bag a 540i myself.
Do I need to seek medical advice?

That is a cool car, totally understated, yet very capable.
I know I keep posting about it, but I must get myself a manual touring version and LPG it. Its my only choice, as I can't have 3 cars, au revior iS. It'll only take me about a year to find a manual touring though, I look every week in the usual places to no avail.

Nice, my dad has just got two alsatian puppies which are rapidly growing up into full size dogs, so he is convinced he needs an estate! I am trying to convince him that an e34 touring 4.4 v8 is an attractive option! I think I am wearing him down slowly, not that I willever really see the benefit!

540i looks great. Those wheels are throwing stars, Styling 21, M System II.
These will also look great if you can find a set.

You can't put those wheels on an auto, its not matching in with the luxo-barge relaxed theme.

I take it those are the alloys and not the wheel trims you get the same

I think a set of those alloys with the throwing stars covers would look great on mine.
TBH I'm glad I got an auto rather than manual now, its a big lazy cruiser and perfectly suited to the (rather good) auto box.
So far, touch wood, it has been a great car. No problems yet and it's very easy and nice to drive. Goes like stink too and with the ASC you don't need to worry about when you stomp on the loud pedal
