Can anyone answer a question for me?
Are electric hoods and manual hoods the same?
It seems that its gonna cost alot of money to get the rear window sewn back in, even though its only a 2 foot section.
Companies i've spoken too have said that roof will have to be remove and prob the canvas off the frame also!!
Lot a labour, hence high cost!
So my thinking was, it maybe cheaper to get a good second hand hood, on frame and fit that myself! :?
My car has an electric roof. But if a manual hood and frame will fit it gives me more choice.
Can anyone put me straight on this.
And anyone got or know of a good hood on a frame, in black?
Cheers,
Shawn

got mine done a few yrs ago for £300.. the roof will need to come off, so it depends on the condition of your roof wether you fork that money out or just replace the whole thing !

manual and electric roof fabrics are different, and yes it is likely they will need to remove the fabric to repair the window.

goggle BAS International and look for the company in Wales, about 360quid for roof fabric supplied.

or look at tinna assuming that includes the frame as this will mean no need to pay to fit it, just make sure you count the shims under the frame on your car before you remove it.

and you double post is deleted BTW!

I have a "how to" that shows how to sew a new window in...very tedious ...but cheap ..my local fitters charge about £200 to sew in a new one...You can fit a manual one ....but I don't think the electric mechanism will mate up
