how exactly is this 2.7 malarkie done?
i know it uses an 525e eta crank and 320 conrods and head (i think)
what car does the block come out of? the 525e im assuming? n e ideas what sort of power is gained from this project as it is something i wud be interested in doin in the future,
thanks for any advice (if any is given)

Not the best at maths then eh Karan? I make 2.5 + 0.2 = 2.7Karan wrote:2.7s are often underestimated as ppl think they're only 200cc more than a 2.5.........how wrong are they!!! LOL
Know what you're getting at though

Simon13 did this to his M42 head after it warped - I nearly bought his car but he wanted too much. I think I heard him say it went after he'd sold it? I may be wrong/mixed it up with someone else318-is wrote:does the fact im taking out mine skimming it an cleaning it up worry you, or will this stop that kind of disaster?
Ask him what he thinks.
I tend to go with the theory if it aint broke dont fix it, but if you feel yours needs doing...

na its just a college project we have to pick an engine take it apart clean n rebuild it, so i chose m42 rightness.
would also love to extract a bit more power out the IS by flowing inlet manifold etc but dunno what sort of gains to expect and want the head to stay in one piece
