In the absence of the esteemed Mr Clarksun (& who knows where he's hiding - ask Bin Laden if you see him), there is still a need to celebrate all that is good in the world of the E30.

New zone, new format. We'll accept nominations until the end of the month, then you'll get a chance to vote from a shortlist. As you're all such modest types, I'll save your blushes - no nominations for your own car! You can each nominate one car and one car only. And it can't be owned by you. Or your cat/dog/goldfish.

As for the winner, well there probably won't be a banner slot anymore, but there will be 'all new' rewards! & no, they don't involve Dave.

So, the theme.
To tie in with the new zone, new format, and new socks (ok that might just be me, but aren't new socks great?), we're looking for cars that look new. & by new, I don't mean modern! New as in just how BMW intended; what you saw in the showroom, brochures & magazine reviews of the 80s. I'm not saying that modifications aren't allowed at all, but suffice to say that you won't be winning anything with a fibreglass kit & some neons.

Factory Fresh. Whatyagot??

List of cars already nominated:
  • 325cabman's 325i Convertible
    sco323's Chromie
    Alyman's 320i SE Auto
    Sweep's 325i SE
    Chris (Billgates)'s Sport
    Hubble's Sport
    Dom's 320i
    B7's 325i convertible
    Beardymat's Sport
    Bmwe30mtech's Sport
    Hennabm's 323i
    Felix79's Alpina

How can I track down the thread that asked how old we all were (E30 chat section). There was a chap in his 60s (I think) who posted who had an absolutely immaculate minty minter.

I have done a search on 'how old' which hasn't come up with the goods....

Seem to remember that he's had it from new. Link above is to the original thread where I found it. Don't know how often he tramps the windy corridors of the zone, so can't tell you anything about his car.

Hi it's me tramping the windy corridors! Yes I've had the car from new and there are mods it's as I bought it. It was staggeringly expensive new so I thought I had better look after it.
Thanks for nominating me.
